Managing withdrawals by email is no longer enough

From 19 June 2026, online stores must provide a dedicated digital tool for withdrawals. This is not a recommendation — it is a legal obligation. It applies to all stores selling to consumers in the European Union.

Without a dedicated tool
  • You are not compliant with current regulations
  • Requests arrive by email, hard to track and manage
  • No automatic written confirmation to the customer
  • If a customer disputes, you have no formal documentation
  • Risk of fines and complaints you could have avoided
With EU Returns
  • Compliant with regulations — install and forget
  • All requests in one single place
  • The customer gets written confirmation automatically
  • Every request is documented and accessible at any time
  • No legal risk, no manual work

No theme code changes. No developer needed.

01

Install the app

Find it on the Shopify App Store at this link: EU Returns

02

Follow the guided setup to activate the form

Activate the app with one click, then choose how to display the form: a dedicated page, a link in the footer/menu, or a sticky button always visible.

03

The customer submits the request

The form opens directly in the store. The customer enters their email and order number, selects the items and quantities, and submits — they immediately receive a confirmation email. You get a notification.

04

Review the details from your dashboard

Every request arrives in your dashboard with all the details. Set the status, add an internal note, download the PDF summary. Refunds are handled by you through Shopify, as you normally do.
